TATEV REVIVAL PROJECT

A UNESCO World Heritage candidate, the Tatev monastic complex is located in a spectacular natural setting. The $25 million project consists of several components: conserving the complex, reviving its monastic and scholarly tradition, developing tourism products in the adjacent river gorge and villages, and building the world's longest reversible aerial tramway.

BROADBAND ARMENIA

ABOUT THE CEO

Pegor Papazian is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia.


Previously, Mr. Papazian was head of project development at the United States Agency for International Development. Prior to his position with USAID, he was Vice President of Strategy and Product Development at Prosum Inc., which was ranked among the United States' top two hundred fastest growing private companies by Inc500. At Prosum, he headed the company's consulting services division and later launched its highly profitable Southeast Asia offices, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. Before joining Prosum's founding team, Mr. Papazian was a founding partner at Design Technologies Consulting, a business simulation and geographic information systems company in Barcelona, Spain.


Mr. Papazian holds an MBA from the
University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the American University of Beirut.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Board of Trustees of the Competitiveness Foundation is made up of six government representatives, six distinguished international business executives, and one representative of the international donor community in Armenia. The Chairman of the Board is the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
