CONVERGENCE CENTER PROJECT
The Convergence Center will link pockets of academic excellence into a critical mass to promote competitiveness. Based on an innovative model that combines academic and research facilities with industry and commerce, the Center will offer funding and shared resources to universities and will broker their relationships with leading academic centers abroad.

Armenia has the potential to become a regional leader in the diagnosis and treatment of oncological and cardiovascular diseases.
NUCLEAR MEDICINE PROJECT
Armenia has the potential to become a regional leader in nuclear medicine and a center of excellence in oncology and cardiology. The $40 million Nuclear Medicine Project will lay the foundations for realizing this potential by acquiring the latest technology in the field and partnering with foreign investors for the transfer of technology and knowhow to Armenia.
Tourism
Armenia has a significant unrealized competitive advantage in tourism.
Our country is poised to enter its expansion phase in high-value leisure tourism with great opportunities for development.
TATEV REVIVAL PROJECT
A UNESCO World Heritage candidate, the Tatev monastic complex is located in a spectacular natural setting. The $25 million project consists of several components: conserving the complex, reviving its monastic and scholarly tradition, developing tourism products in the adjacent river gorge and villages, and building the world's longest reversible aerial tramway.

In addition to its sector-specific programs in education, healthcare and tourism, the Competitiveness Foundation develops programs aimed at promoting competitiveness through increased access to knowledge and knowhow.
BROADBAND ARMENIA
The Broadband Armenia Project will extend high-performance internet infrastructure throughout the country. It will strengthen Armenia's linkages with international telecommunications backbones, increase reliability, and lower the price of internet services. The resulting broadband infrastructure will create new opportunities for entrepreneurship and innovation.
The 17th Meeting of the Competitiveness Foundation Board of Trustees Convened in Yerevan
Today, August 28 the regular meeting of the Competitiveness Foundation Board of Trustees gathered at the Government Building in Yerevan. The meeting involved the presentation of the Foundation's ongoing initiatives including special issues related to the Tatev Revival Project.

On June 26, 2010, the 16th meeting of the Competitiveness Foundation Board of Trustees will convene at the Government Building in Yerevan. The meeting will start with a speech by Tigran Sargsyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and Chairman of the Foundation Board.
The First Ever Italian Language Guide on Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh to be Launched
Today at 6pm the first Italian guidebook on Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic will be presented at the Golden Tulip Yerevan Hotel. The edition has been published in the scope of Polaris, the renowned Italian tourist guidebook series.

Prime Minister of Armenia to Speak at the University of California at Berkeley
On November 5, 2009 a panel presentation and discussion entitled Armenia's Competitiveness Agenda: Partnering across Networks will take place at the University of California at Berkeley. The event will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, at the Banatao Auditorium (Sutardja Dai Hall, UC Berkeley).
